    What do you love most about your job?

    What I love most about my role is being able to make a real and meaningful difference in people’s lives. Seeing participants grow in confidence, achieve their goals, and live more independently is incredibly rewarding. As a Director, I’m proud to lead a service that is ethical, compassionate, and genuinely person-centred, where every individual feels respected, supported, and empowered.

    What experience or passion led you to work in disability support?

    My passion for disability support grew from my background as an Enrolled Nurse. Early in my nursing career, I worked closely with people with varying abilities and complex needs, and those experiences stayed with me. I saw firsthand how much difference compassionate, respectful, and consistent care can make. Over time, this passion turned into a strong desire to advocate for people living with disability and to create a service that truly puts people first.

    What do you love most about your job?

    What I love most about my role is leading a dedicated team with a shared commitment to inclusion, dignity, and equality. I am passionate about fostering a culture where every individual with a disability feels genuinely valued, respected, and empowered, regardless of their circumstances or abilities. Being able to influence positive change—by promoting person-centred approaches that recognise each person’s strengths, choices, and aspirations—is deeply rewarding. It is a privilege to contribute to an organisation that champions fairness, encourages independence, and supports people to live meaningful lives with confidence and purpose.

    What experience or passion led you to work in disability support?

    My passion for working in disability support has grown through both leadership and hands-on experience. Before entering this sector, I worked as a manager across different industries, where I consistently received positive feedback for my leadership approach and ability to support people effectively. However, it was my time working directly on the ground as a disability support worker that truly shaped my commitment to this field.

    Supporting people with disabilities firsthand allowed me to see the meaningful impact that genuine care, respect, and the right attitude can have on someone’s life. Witnessing how person-centred support helps individuals feel valued, heard, and appreciated motivated me to dedicate my career to this industry.

    Starting True Supportive Care was a natural progression of this journey. I strongly believe that when support is delivered with empathy, respect, and a focus on what works best for each individual, it creates positive and lasting change. My drive comes from ensuring people receive support that not only meets their needs but also enhances their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

    The everyday surprises! Our participants never fail to amaze me with their humour!

    I have 10 years experience in the disability field, and still learning!

    What do you love most about your job?

    I love cooking and creating participants meals, especially seeing the joy when someone enjoys the food so much that they want to eat more.

    What experience or passion led you to work in disability support?

    What inspired me to work in disability support is the understanding that people with disabilities truly need special care, compassion, and love. The joy of seeing them smile and express appreciation, even for the smallest acts of kindness, gives me a deep sense of fulfillment and makes each day feel meaningful in a very special way.

    A fun fact :

    I love spending time going out with the people I support, whether it’s enjoying music together, having lunch out, or joining in activities that they can be a part of. Sharing those moments makes the experience more meaningful for both of us.

    What I love most about my job is that no two days are the same, which keeps things fresh, prevents monotony, and brings a genuine sense of adventure

    What experience or passion led you to work in disability support?

    I have a lived experience of caring for family member in an environment that doesn’t have NDIS support. Helping vulnerable people live one day better is to me quite fulfilling.

    As someone who works closely with individuals under the NDIS, I’ve come to appreciate how deeply meaningful this work becomes when it’s grounded in values like empowerment, empathy, and authentic connection. What I love most is witnessing the strength that emerges when people are supported to make their own choices, in their own time. It’s not just about providing assistance-it’s about honoring each person’s journey and building trust that goes beyond a checklist of tasks.

    I’m constantly reminded that the most lasting impact comes from genuine human connection. This aren’t just part of my professional approach-they’re the heart of it. Whether it’s helping someone navigate daily routines or celebrating a small milestone.

Service Managers

Our service managers oversee the implementation of Support plans and ensure that services are delivered effectively. They work closely with participants to understand their unique needs and make sure that everything is running smoothly. They ensure each participant’s care is tailored to help them achieve their goals.

Team Leaders

Our team leaders are the backbone of our support staff. They guide and mentor support workers, ensuring that all care is delivered to the highest standards. Support Workers

Our support workers are the heart of the services we provide. They work directly with participants, assisting with daily tasks, personal care, and helping with community engagement. Admin Team
