Supported Shared Living offers a balance between independence and daily support, giving NDIS participants the opportunity to live in a genuine home environment while still receiving the help they need to thrive. It’s designed for people who want more support than occasional drop-in services, but who don’t require 24/7 rostered care or specialist accommodation.

Participants live in a shared home alongside a small number of compatible housemates, with their own private furnished room and access to shared kitchen, living, and outdoor spaces. We take care to create homes that feel welcoming, comfortable, and community-focused — not clinical or institutional.

Daily support is tailored to each individual and funded through NDIS Core Supports. This can include assistance with personal care, meal preparation, medication prompts, transport to appointments, building everyday living skills, community access, and support to work toward personal goals. Support is flexible and built around the participant’s routine, preferences, and level of independence.

Supported Shared Living is ideal for participants who are ready to move out of the family home, transition from hospital or other accommodation, or take the next step toward more independent living without feeling isolated or unsupported. It can also suit participants who do not qualify for SIL, or who prefer a more flexible and individualised support model.

One of the key differences with Supported Shared Living is that tenancy and support are completely separate. Participants sign a standard rooming agreement for their accommodation, alongside a separate service agreement for supports. This means participants maintain genuine choice and control — including the ability to change support providers without losing their home.

We believe everyone deserves a safe, supportive place to live where they can build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections with others.

Our Supported Shared Living homes are designed to provide the right balance of support, community, and personal freedom. Whether you’re exploring your options for the first time or looking for a better living arrangement, our team is here to help you understand what’s possible.
